On the way to Dartmoor we stopped off at Haldon Forest and went round a short orienteering course.

We went on to Plymouth and spent the afternoon at the National Marine Aquarium.

We stayed at Bellever Youth Hostel for two nights.

On Wednesday we had a long walk up to Laughter Tor and then Bellever Tor. In the evening we had a demonstration of owls, a hawk and falcons and later, when it was nearly dark, a 'batman' came to talk about bats.

On our way home, on Thursday, we went to Morwellham Quay to the Victorian Museum.
