Even the children were kept in the dark as the party, held at Loders Village Hall, followed a Baptism service held at Loders Church as part of the RE Celebrations. Elizabeth Findlay organised the baptism and the PTFA organised the party for the whole school. |

The children burst into singing “For he’s a jolly good fellow” as their headmaster arrived. (They had been practising quietly earlier at school – not knowing why!) Mrs Stripp, Mrs Good and Mrs Mapes were given flowers to congratulate them on their many years at the school. |
