On Wednesday the 28th February we had a group came in called the One World Band. They taught us to sing a song in African and in Spanish. After a little concert of some of their songs we got to work with them and write some of our own songs, everyone contributed if they wanted to. The reason of their visit was that all Bridport cluster schools are doing a world music concert at Bridport Leisure centre and so they came to help us write some songs of our own to sing in it. There were four people, all originated in different countries - the first man was from England, the second man was from India, the third from Gambia and the fourth was from Chile.
After we had a little break all the school apart from years 5& 6 went back to the school. Loders school are doing about India and another school two schools are doing about Chile and another two schools are doing about Gambia. During them playing we joined in with clapping and singing, even the teachers decided to have a go! The songs we wrote were tunes taken from other songs and we changed the words to make them more original. It was great fun and we are sure everyone else will agree when we say that we think everyone wants to be a famous songwriter now!
