On the 13^th of March 01 our netball team went to St. Catherine’s school to play a game of netball.

It didn’t start very well with a score of 4-0 to them but by half time they were still in the lead with 7-5.

Our coach Virginia gave us a warning "we’ve only got to score two and then we’ll be drawing!"

And then we thought of the fans at school and our conscience really kicked in.

After shouts of encouragement we were in the lead with eleven – nine.

By the end we were really hyped up and had a score of 14 –10 to us!!!!!!!!!!!!

We thought that every one did really well and this is what we’ve got to say about them…

Pearl is one of the new people to our netball team but she was very good in her part of goal shooter (she also scored 2 goals!)

Next up was Ian who helped Pearl out in sticky situations in his position as goal attack (He even scored 12 goals!!!)

Fiona the goalkeeper in the first half is next. She has improved a lot in being confident with the ball and good at marking.

Georgia (me) is very good at being in the right place at the right time and getting the ball off the opposition in my position of goal defence. I have future hopes of being Captain.

Here comes Gemma the centre player! Even when heavily marked (as she always was) she ALWAYS got the ball to the right person and the right end of the pitch.

Alex. This Wing attack key player could really pass the ball and knew how to catch it.

Laura, (The other me!) was a very handy player in her Wing Defence position that helped get it down the right end.

Now Sarina is a very young player and really tried.

She’ll be a very good player in the future. In the second half she did very well as goalkeeper.
