On Sunday the 11th of October 1998 Joe Muhl, Katherine Barrett, Nicola Smith, Michelle Newberry, Waldo Etherington and Kate Carter all entered for the swimmathon. Ros Newberry was our captain but she didn't swim but she walked up and down the pool side. But we think she walked nearly two miles up and down. We had to swim for a hour swimming in a relay. In the hour we had drinks of ice cold water and some of it we tipped over our heads and it was freezing. Mr Kite was watching us and Joe's dad was taking photos of us and so was Kate's mum. One lap was 50 metres and we managed to swim 52 laps in the hour.
