On Saturday 4th of July Loders School participated in a mixed doubles short tennis tournament at Beaminster secondary school.
Two pairs went from Loders, Helen Webber and Joseph Carter and Abigail Matthews and Dean Northover. At the tennis tournament there were four courts. On each court there were four pairs who all played each other except for Dean and Abigail's court who only had three because one pair never showed up.
Both of our teams got knocked out in the first round we didn't win any matches but Abigail and Dean won one and might have gone through to the next round if the other team had come.
But anyway both of our teams got knocked out and Parret and Axe went through from our court and St Mary's from Dean and Abigail's. The final was between Parret and Axe from our group and we are not quite sure about the other team but they won it.
