On Tuesday 6th July years 5&6 went on a river walk from Loders to West Bay. First we set off down to Boarsbarrow Hill and looked at the weir. Then we stopped for 5minutes and had a look at where the Mangerton River and the Asker River meet.
About 11:00am we stopped at Happy Island (Behind co-op) for our break and a paddle. After that we went and had a look at the weir for floods and then followed the River Asker down to where it meets the River Brit. We stopped there and sketched part of the brewery.
Round about 1:00pm we stopped for lunch in a field and played 40 - 40. After lunch we carried on and did some compass work. About 2:00pm we got to West Bay, then we were allowed to go off on in-groups of 3-6 people. I (Nicola Smith) went with Katherine Barrett, Myfanwy Lloyd and Leah Carter. We went and brought some ice creams and then paddled in the sea, after that we went to a car park where our Mums or Dads picked us up and we had a very hot and tiring day!!!
