THE PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION
It all started when I had a letter from the school saying that there was a photo competition and I decided to have a go at it for a bit of fun. First of all I took some pictures of some market stalls. Then when we went to walk the dog I took some pictures of the beach but they didn't come out very well because it was a dull day. Then when I went home I took some more pictures of my animals and some other things. When I went back to Mum's house we went and took some pictures of the old railway at West Bay, but after that we still had some pictures left so Mum decided to go down to Happy Island when we had done the shopping so we did and used it all up taking photos of the bridge and river.

When we got them developed I chose to enter one of Happy Island bridge, so we mounted it and the next day I posted to the Tourist Information Centre.

I had to spend the weekend with my Nanny and Grandad and on Monday I had a phonecall from my Grandma saying that I had won a prize with my photo and that she would pick me up at three 'o clock and take me there to have my photo taken for the Bridport News and the Evening Echo. My Dad came to take us down there and when I got there the assistant told me that I had won FIRST prize. I could not believe it. I had won a camera with a flash, a bag of goodies and an easter egg. The photographer from the Bridport News was late but I did get my photo taken and it was in the newspaper the following Friday.
