]Our coastal walk.]

On Tuesday 30th of June, 9 o 'clock in the morning a bus came to pick us up. It took us (that's year 5 and 6) to Axmouth. To start our coastal walk we had to walk up a very steep hill. and to make it worse James was puffing and panting and making a terrible din.

When we got to the top of the hill we had to walk across Axe golf course. We watched the golfers for a bit and then carried on with our walk. We walked along a track and Zak found a big dead hornet, but he didn't keep it. We had our break at Bindon cliffs. Abigail took a picture just as Daniel jumped to try and get in it!

Soon when we carried on we began to come to the 'no civilisation' zone. It was hot so we were glad to get into the shade of the trees.

We walked down a path and soon came to some vines. So everyone took to being Tarzan! It was very muddy so by the time we got to our lunch stop we were virtually swimming in mud! Our lunch stop was at a disused pumping station. There was a pond there and it was full of tadpoles and newts. I had my lunch on the top of a pile of chalk. When we finished our lunch Mr Kite took some of us down to a bay.

It was very steep so we had to take ropes. But there were already ropes there. We had to climb down a rock face. When we got to the bay Tim and I looked around for 'interesting things'. I found some string and a stick and attempted to make a fishing rod, but it didn't work. When we got back up we found Daniel dripping wet. He had fallen in the tadpole pool! We walked on for about an hour until we had last break in a clearing. All the girls were just sitting around, while the boys hid from James. James (who was at the back throughout the whole walk) had slipped over and was complaining of a headache. He was not amused when some of the boys jumped out of hiding at him. We walked up another hill and came to another clearing. Again, all the girls sat around and talked. But the boys climbed trees.

Dean and Jason had a game of stick wars. We walked on and soon came to Lyme Regis. We then changed into our swimming things and went for a dip in the sea. Stephen and I went for a look around the shops and bought some Polos. Then Mr Kite got us all together and we all walked up another steep hill to meet the bus. James made it to the top too!!

It was a brilliant day. (And very very muddy)
