Orienteering At Clayesmore School

On Sunday the 4th of October Helen Wrixon and her dad, Michelle Newberry and Nicola Smith and her dad all went orienteering at Clayesmore school at Blandford . We all went on the yellow course but Nicola's dad did not, it was 1.5km and Michelle and Nicola took 29mins and 18secs and Helen and her dad took 16mins. Nicola's dad, Bob did the light green course and it was 4km and he took 38mins. Nicola and Michelle could not find a control point because it was put behind a small water tank thing we found it because when we walked past it Michelle looked behind us and she saw it. A control point is like a red and white flag blowing in the wind if there is any, and there is a clip which has 3 to 5 dots on it, and when you have found it you need to clip a piece of paper so it has the pattern on it, and then you need to find the next control point. Mr Kite our headmaster took 46mins on the line course and his son Andrew took 34mins on the line course as well and we all had a wonderful time.
