Coastal walk

On the 10/02/99 we went on a coastal walk on the coast of the Isle of Purbeck. Our first stop was Winspit. After we went to Winspit we went to Seacombe and then to Dancing ledge.

At Winspit we saw some quarries that had once dug up Purbeck limestone to build houses and there was also lots of big white cliff faces that were made of Purbeck limestone.

At Seacombe we did some detective work finding out about the quarries and what certain things did, looked at how easy cliffs could fall and squash people underneath.

At Dancing ledge we had our lunch and made walls to keep people out of places but they were so low that we just walked over them.

The big hill

The big hill was very big and steep. Mr Kite played a trick on Natalie, when Natalie had nearly reached the top Mr Kite said "Oh Natalie I left my glasses down the hill, could you just go down and get them for me." Natalie's face was in horror and she was relieved when Mr Kite said it was a joke.

Priest's way

Priest's way is a little road that runs from Worth Matravers to Swanage. It was very muddy and wet. My boots were blue but now they're brown.

Going Home

After three days at Leeson house we were finally getting packed to go home. We said thank you to Stephen and we basically filled up the mini bus that took us home. I got home sick on the bus although we were going home.

When we got home we were happy to see our mums and dads. I got home sick, so did my friends Leah and Rebecca.
