The River Asker begins on Eggardon hill; it runs down through the village of Askerswell, then onto Uploders. After that it goes past the bottom of Loders, there it splits into two smaller rivers, one man-made (that goes to a mill) the other is natural then it goes back to one river. Just outside Bradpole it joins onto the Mangerton River. It then carries on to Bridport and joins onto the River Brit and then goes down to West Bay and into the sea. The average temperature of the river in early May is 10 degrees centigrade and it is usually about 20 cm deep.
