The village hall was built in 1926 by ex- Service Men after the First World War. The schoolmaster's son, Mr. F. Fooks, was the builder in charge. It was first built for a Skittles Alley and Games and Club hall. It is made of corrugated iron and wood.
The land it is on belongs to Sir E. Le Breton of Loders Court and he also made improvements to modernise it costing £2,050. This money was used to provide toilets, water supply and kitchen facilities. The hall survived the Second World War and still stands today although it is so old it is going to be knocked down and a new hall is already being built.
