Thorners girls and Burton Bradstock boys won the trophies

On Saturday the 13th of November 2004 Jasmine, Selena, Katie, Laura, Emily and Iona entered in

The cross country run at Colmers Hill. Everyone had to meet at the school then we had to walk to

The hill. The girl’s race was at 10:30am and the boy’s race was at 10:45am.

We started with a warm-up and then we got ready to rumble the horn went and we were off.

Jasmine took an early lead with Selena close behind her. Katie, Laura, Emily and Iona were close

behind. As we were coming down through the last field we could hear our little mascot Katrina

who could not run because she was ill was cheering us all on. Soon the race was over and as we

came through the funnel we got a little card which said our place we came in.

The places are as followed:

Jasmine: 2nd, Selena: 9th, Katie: 14th, Laura: 17th, Emily: 27th and Iona: 32nd.

After the boy’s race had finished we walked back down to the school for the presentation of the

medals and the trophies. When we got down to the school Richard Tuck presented people with medals and the trophies.

With the medals the first three people home got a medal. The schools who won meddles are: Symondsbury, Loders and Thorners.

The trophies were given to: Thorners girls team.
